Cockatoos. Kangaroos. Xanthorrhoea. The scent of singeing bark flaking off nearby gum trees. South-Eastern breezes harmonizing between the mountains of the southern most point of the Great Dividing Range. Typical Victorian fields on a summer’s afternoon day. Sounds like a good time to take photographs.
So we’re swooping in with another shoot from our time in Australia… we’re here to share the lovely Laurine + Adam with you!
Adam happens to be Jayden’s older brother. Yes, ’tis true. The first time I hung out with Jayden + Adam at the same time, I didn’t know what was going on. When they interact, they don’t have normal conversations, they quote films. Between the two of them, they have seen just about every visual piece of media ever made, and they remember every line, verbatim. Back in the day, I had about three movie quotes in my mental catalog… 8 years later, I can keep up quite nicely! All the quoting that goes on means that there is almost never a moment when someone isn’t laughing.
Adam is also an incredible artist, and is currently working on his doctorate in Fine Art + painting. Yay for arty farties in the family!
Laurine is a hot Sarah Blasko lookalike and lover of all things related to Tupperware and fine china. She faithfully sends me each issue of frankie magazine all the way to Milwaukee so that I can stay ‘in the loop’ with all the goodness of Australia. Ahh, I love her. She also has a fabulous taste in boots, and the craziest-cool translucent eyes you’ve ever seen!
Their cocker-spaniel pooch, Harper Lee, also came along for a bit of photogenic fun. Please refer to the literary classic ‘To Kill A Mockingbird‘. The warm Victorian sunset couldn’t have been sweeter or anymore divine!
Boots. Umbrellas. Scarves. Witty banter. Tea cups. Vintage books. Rugs. Antique chairs. Sunshine. Blanket love. Boom.
