If you know me at all, you know I get bored … quickly. And when it comes to interiors, that can be a tough challenge. How to keep updating a space so it doesn’t feel ‘boring’, without having to completely start from scratch every 6 months. 😉
Enter: Mitzi lighting
Anne + I recently discovered them while working on the design for my sister’s studio space and we actually used Mitzi for all of the lighting there — even the ceiling fixtures! We’ve been a bit taken by their offerings, and the different shapes and shades available.
My personal fave is this Leah floor lamp. Here is one lamp, shown 3 ways. Versatile–and that perfect way to update a space without breaking the bank!
Space One: Margaret’s studio in Pasadena. The dark tones in the wallpaper pair perfectly with the lamp, and the brass + velvet match is one made in heaven.
Space Two: my living room. When we finished this space, we actually didn’t include any lamps because it was too difficult to find something that was the right vibe for the room… but no more! The ‘Leah’ can swoop to our level of ’80s weird without even breaking a sweat.
Space Three: Our studio, Light Lab. This one especially excites me… When you’re (*I’m) photographing the same space over and over again, it feels especially exciting to change things up as often as possible. (Did Instagram do this to us?! Have we become the, ‘Once it’s been ‘grammed, it’s been done’ generation?!) Anyway. Whatever it is, Leah may have found her new permanent home at Light Lab… Don’t you think so?
What about you? Do you get antsy to update your space(s) early + often? What are some ways that you like to do this without breaking the bank?
Thanks so much to Mitzi for having me! Be sure to check out their full selection of fabulous lights. You won’t be sorry! x
