It’s day two of a-frame reveals, and the yellow keeps on comin’!
I think I had slept in the a-frame a total of two nights when I made this moodboard on my phone + sent it to Sarah. Being in the home + on the property just felt so… warm. I couldn’t get off of the idea that all I wanted was baked yellow. Not too vibrant and bright, not too muted… just… baked. I know. Whatever. I’m ridiculous when it comes to color.
Sarah dreamt up the layout of the den bedroom, which is just off of the living room, so I wanted to install a ‘privacy drape’ for whoever is staying in that room. (It’s usually Robert’s room, and he lives alone in LA so loves having ‘his space’ and enjoys closing the drape sometimes even when he isn’t sleeping.)
In a practically open-floor home, we gotta get creative with curtains, and using that Kelly Wearstler fabric to get a custom curtain made was my wildest dream come true.
Sarah had used this little nook as a sitting area when she owned the home, so I love that we’ve kept it a ‘chill zone’.
How much do we love a pastel bed in the desert? Answer: so much..!
When Sarah suggested styling the bedroom with the lady legs ceramic, I felt so seen. haha! She gets me.
And how perfect is this velvet ottoman from ModShop? Their stuff is to die for, and this ottoman is the cherry on top!
